SANDRA HUDSON NAMED 2017 DIGNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION BOARD MEMBER OF THE YEAR

Mesa, AZ – June 2017 -- Notable business leader and recognized community philanthropist, Sandra Hudson, CEO, Trust and Investment, and President, TrustBank Arizona, has been named the 2017 Dignity Health Foundation Board Member of the Year.

Sandra Hudson joined the Dignity Health Foundation Board of Directors in 2010.
Over the past 7 years Hudson has played an ever increasing role in Dignity’s philanthropic strategies. In 2015 Sandra led the Board’s efforts to establish a unique and collaborative Women’s Philanthropic Society.

Her strategic goal was to establish the membership as broad based as possible to engage as many women as possible while at the same time identifying opportunities with hospital leadership to engage major gift donors.

“Sandra’s unprecedented board efforts in recruiting top tier leadership to the Women’s Board and a broad base of supporters has paid off in spades. Their combined efforts have secured several major gifts and provided funding for a second Stroke Camp, the Children's Dental Clinic, Vision Screening Equipment, and a 3D Mammography Biopsy Arm to name a few. We are so proud and privileged to have Sandra as an active participant and leader on our Dignity Health Foundation and Power of the Purse Women’s Philanthropic Society Boards.” states Aaron Peace, President/Chief Philanthropy Officer, Dignity Health Foundation – East Valley.

The Dignity Health Foundation East Valley is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was started as the foundation for Chandler Regional Medical Center (formerly Chandler Regional Hospital) in 1985 so that individuals could participate in the hospital’s mission of improving the health of the community. With the addition of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, the foundation changed its name from Chandler Regional Hospital Foundation to Dignity Health Foundation East Valley to better represent its expanded responsibility to serve both facilities and the communities of the Southeast Valley. The foundation was established to provide financial support for capital projects, equipment, new medical technologies, improved patient services and medical education, enhanced research, as well as programs and services for children, women, and senior citizens, and the care of uninsured or under-insured families at our community. -30-
